PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Bay County’s young professionals will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking local office during Young Professionals Political Pulse, a nonpartisan candidate forum scheduled for Monday, September 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Panama City Center for the Arts.

This event will also be livestreamed by WMBB through the station’s website, social media pages, and WMBB+ app, giving the broader community an opportunity to watch the conversation life.

Political Pulse brings together young professional organizations and community partners from across Bay County to create a forum centered on the issues affecting the region’s emerging workforce, business leaders, and future community leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and compare their perspectives and priorities on issues affecting Bay County.

“Your Future. Your Community. Your Questions.” captures the purpose of the event: giving young professionals an opportunity to hear candidates address the issues that directly affect their ability to build careers, businesses, families, and futures in Bay County.

The moderated forum will focus on topics important to young professionals, including housing affordability and availability, career and economic opportunity, workforce development, infrastructure and transportation, public safety, quality of life, growth and development, entrepreneurship and small business, community involvement and leadership, and the ability to attract and retain young talent.

Local government decisions influence where people can afford to live, how businesses grow, the infrastructure communities depend on, and whether young professionals see Bay County as a place to build their future. Political Pulse creates an opportunity for the people who will help shape that future to become more informed and engaged in the decisions being made today.

Young Professionals Political Pulse will take place Monday, September 28, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bay Arts Alliance/Panama City Center for the Arts, 19 E. 4^th Street in Panama City. Those unable to attend can watch through WMBB’s website, WMBB social media pages, or the WMBB+ app.
