The Gulf Coast Salute Air Show continues to stand out as one of the most impactful annual events for Bay County, bringing together residents, visitors, military personnel and industry partners in a shared celebration of aviation, service and community.

This year’s show once again demonstrated why it remains such an important asset, not only as a source of pride, but as a meaningful contributor to workforce development, economic growth and regional identity.

The Bay County Chamber of Commerce, through its Military Affairs Committee, was proud to play a role in supporting this year’s event. Committee volunteers were on site assisting with operations and helping ensure attendees had a safe, organized and enjoyable experience. Their presence reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships between the local business community and our military partners.

A special acknowledgment is due to Chamber staff members Lisa Moore and Victoria Pyle, who generously gave their time to volunteer during the show. Their efforts, along with those of many others, helped contribute to a smooth and successful event. Volunteer support is essential for an event of this scale, and their willingness to step in and assist reflects the spirit of service that defines our community.

We also want to extend a strong thank you to Visit Panama City Beach for their leadership and coordination in helping bring this event to life and ensuring its continued success year after year.

The air show delivered an impressive lineup of aerial demonstrations, static displays and interactive exhibits. Performances by military and civilian pilots showcased precision flying, advanced aircraft capabilities and the professionalism of those who operate them. These demonstrations are more than entertainment. They provide a window into the training, discipline and technology that support our national defense.

The STEM component also aligns closely with federal recruiting efforts for the military.
