American Red Cross Preparing New Facility for Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The Northwest Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross is inviting media and local officials to tour our new facility in Panama City.

Volunteers and chapter staff will be on hand to direct media and guests around the facility and share the improvements this space offers our disaster response efforts. The new facility allows our volunteer-driven workforce to continue preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies in the Panama City area, and across the region.

The Northwest Florida Chapter proudly serves more than 900,000 residents across seven counties. Over the last fiscal year, the Chapter assisted 322 families impacted by disasters and installed more than 1,100 smoke alarms through Red Cross’ Home Fire Campaign.

“We are excited to be relocating and outfitting this building in a way that will help make the work we do day in and day out become more efficient,” said Terri Jenkins, Executive Director of the Northwest Florida Chapter.

Staff and volunteers are now working out of this location daily. A special ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to officially open the doors. Please see details below.
